Remember that you should always have a Gassafe or HETAS registered installer install your fireplace or stove, as they will be certified to sign of their own installation with your local building control. If buying a gas appliance your Gassafe engineer will sign off the installation and issue a certificate. We always advice that you have a proper engineer or fitter check the builders opening before buying as fireplace or stove, to advise you what will be able to fit into your chimney breast.
By using our company we will sign off the chimney lining part of the installation and the fireplace or stove fitting. Once the job is completed we send off a certificate to HETAS who notify your local building authority that the installation was completed by our chimney lining specialists who are part of the Competent Persons scheme. Our work is checked every year by HETAS as are our gas installations.
