Do I need a CO (Carbon Monoxide) detector with my installation of a wood burning stove or when I have a solid fuel fireplace fitted?
From 1st October 2010 new building regulations requires a
CO (Carbon Monoxide) Detector to be fitted within the room for all solid fuel appliances, whether they are new installations of
wood burning stoves or sold fuel open fireplace installations.
Our
carbon monoxide detectors have a 7 year battery life, which is much better than many other designs on the market. They can be fitted easily in the same room as the solid fuel installation.
On all our installations our chimney lining experts will bring one of these with them for you to place in the same room as the installation.
