How do I find out if I am in a smoke controlled area?
Your Local Authority will be able to clarify where the area extends to, and if your borough is in a Smoke Control Area. On the website http://www.uksmokecontrolareas.co.uk a list of locations and Local Authority websites can be found. We have listed some examples below of the boroughs that are part of a smokeless zone or not.
The whole of these local authorities have been designated a Smoke Control Area:
