Frequently Asked Questions

<< previous question

I have been recommended to use WD-40 to clean the stove. Does that work for cleaning the glass too? I have a black mark in one corner where a log rested against it.

Regarding the glass cleaning, we simply use newspaper or kitchen roll and water but most stoves are designed to clean the glass themselves when the fire is very high. (Some people mix a little vinegar into the water but we do not recommend this as if you drip even the slightest bit onto the hearth, it will discolour and stain it). We do however sell a foam Glass Cleaner which is also effective. The glass cleaner can be purchased on the secure payment side of our site through the Shop section, under Care Products.
