What if my fireplace was already in the house when I moved?
This is fine, and most people find the fireplace has been used/installed when they move house. Just ensure you use approved
smokeless fuels if you wish to burn solid fuel and live in a smokeless zone. Also make sure the installation was signed off by a competent
HETAS registered installer. You will need to have the chimney checked by a
NACS registered chimney sweep, to make sure the flue is safe to use and does not leak, this must be done annually.
If it needs
lining and you do not want to remove the fireplace, we can line your chimney using the
Eldfast ceramic lining system. This is also used in older properties where a
flexible liner may not be able to go down the chimney.
