Why does the smoke control restriction exist?
The Clean Air Act of 1993 was introduced to protect us and the environment from harmful dark smoke that was responsible for so many deaths in the 1950’s. The dark emissions of smoke that contained grit, dust and fumes are now banned under the rule.
