Will living in a smoke control area restrict the fireplace or stove that I buy?
The Smoke Control Rule will not restrict the fireplace you choose, only the fuel that you burn inside it. If you are buying a stove you need to choose either a multifuel stove or a smoke exempt stove.
Choosing a Smokeless Stove for example is an excellent way of working with the rule, and it will enable you to burn wood or other fuels in a safe Law abiding way.
