Anthony started working for the company when he was fresh out of college. Anthony is our top woodburning/multifuel stove and chimney lining expert who has the most amount of installations under his belt. Anthony is also a prominent member of our chimney CCTV inspection and onsite survey team and diagnoses any issue with leaking and/or blocked chimneys. He also successfully assesses and designs insulated twin wall systems for customers without a chimney, including extensions and summerhouses.
Anthony also known as ‘Tony’, started working for The Cast Iron Fireplace Company in 2008, at a time when he and the company director, Barney Dorman, worked together fitting fireplaces and wood-burning stoves. Anthony then became fully HETAS registered in his own right, including in his dossier insulated twin wall and Eldfast ceramic lining systems. Anthony has installed over 1200 installations of solid fuel stoves, smoke exempt log burners, Eldfast lining systems, and all types of fireplaces imaginable. He is the company’s most experienced HETAS installer.
Anthony is very hard working guy and is totally committed to each job being completed correctly. He prefers to involve our customers on each and every installation, so that they can see exactly what we do when installing their wood burning stoves, chimney lining system and/or cast iron fireplace.
On site Anthony is a forward thinker and helps to coordinate jobs, as often we have 3 or 4 people on each job carrying out their own specific task. All our teams need to be multi-skilled and Anthony will often be overseeing the job to make sure everyone is fully supported with what they are doing. In the very hectic winter period, Anthony works weekends on installations, which is welcomed by some of our customers who are unable to take time off work due to their very busy work schedule.
Always polite and professional, Anthony is very knowledgeable about Section J of Building Regulations.
Like all our fitters Anthony was put through Pasma training by The Cast Iron Fireplace Company. PASMA stands for Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association. It provides and governs the industry standard training scheme for mobile access towers. Standard and advanced courses deliver proficiency and competence as required by the Work at Height Regulations. For many, the PASMA certificate and ID card are the only acceptable proof of competence.
Being a sociable person, Anthony loves socializing with friends and family and modifying his motor bike. He likes to keep his body in trim and can be seen most nights working out at his local gym - which makes him one of our strongest fitters!
