We are experts in wood burning stove installations and can roughly cost up the job for you over the phone to help you choose the best wood burning stove for us to install in your home. The best size can be discussed along with design of the wood burning stove, whether we install a contemporary wood burning stove or help you fit a traditional wood burning stove, your installation will change your life by keeping you nice and warm and save money. Having a wood burning stove installation is an eco-friendly way of heating your home with a carbon neutral wood burning stove. Why not have our help and guidance and have us fit a wood burning stove into 2 rooms down stairs and turn your heating off?

Our Hetas registered wood burning stove fitters install wood burning stove flues into your existing chimney using twin wall flexible liners. After fitting your log burner or multi fuel stove, our HETAS fitters will sign off the wood burning stove installation with HETAS stove fitting regulations. Our chimney lining engineers will guide you through the stove installation on the day of fitting and show you how the stove works. We also leave a wood burning stove guide to help you correctly season your stove over 3 consecutive fires, increasing the fuel each time so as to cure the stove and fire cements.

We can install a wood burning stove in any room and in any property or building and make sure the installation conforms to section J of building regulations. We can advise and suggest the best stove for the room with regard to heat into the room and have a wide range of stoves available. We also fit pre-bought stoves.

Wood burning stove fitting without liners

We are often asked Do I have to have my wood burning stove fitted with a liner? We advise that they should be fitted with a liner as this dramatically helps the draw of the stove when installed - even when properly installed by one of our HETAS registered stove fitters.

The main issue when installing a wood burning stove or multi fuel stove without a twin wall flexible liner, apart from smoke coming into the room, is that the stove needs the 5” or 6” diameter 316 grade or 904 grade liner to help the fire achieve its efficiency ratings. When lighting the stove a metal liner conducts heat quicker than a masonry brick chimney, which helps stop smoke coming into the room.
Plus you would have a 10 year or 20 year guarantee with your stove installation and the stove fitting would be signed off by our HETAS registered stove fitters.

Gas fires

Gas fires have been popular for years due to their ease of use but our fitting teams do not currently install gas fireplaces in London and the surrounding areas.  Instead we have a reputable Gas Safe engineer that we recommend who can be found here.

He can install gas runs to your chimney breast and advise on the best routes under floors on the site survey.

Vents supplied and installed

We are often asked "do I need a vent?".

The answer is based on the size of the stove or fireplace that you are having fitted.

Also the type of fuel your appliance uses and output effects the size of the vent, as set by building regulations.

Chimney pots replaced

Many chimney pots go unnoticed due to being out of sight.  Many are in need of replacement due to corrosion over years of cold winters and hot fires cracking them.  Some need to be re-flaunched as the render that holds them into place has disintegrated leaving the pots tilted, or in danger of falling off the roof.

We can supply and fit chimney pots as part of our service when we are fitting your fireplace or lining your chimney for a stove installation.

Fixing downdraft issues

Many chimneys have issues with smoke coming into the room.  This can happen from time to time but can be a sign that something is wrong with the chimney.  This could be due to blockages in the flue, strong winds, geographical location or alterations with the chimney, to name but a few.

We are chimney experts and can help fix these issues.

Chimney cowls fitted

When we are fitting a stove or fireplace, we can fit cowls or caps to keep rain out.  They can also stop birds nesting and weeds growing in chimneys.

It is important to use the correct type of cowling for each property.  We can advise on what is best for your chimneys on the site survey or by sending us an image of your chimneys.

We are a HETAS registered company

All our fitters are HETAS registered and only work for our company.  Our staff are trained for a minimum of two years before send them to HETAS for their official training and testing.  Our work is then inspected by HETAS each year, giving our customers confidence that their installation is certified by a Competent Person.

This saves our customers time and money using Building Control when installing lining systems, stoves and fireplaces being used with solid fuel.

After the installation, we issue a data plate along with a Certificate of Compliance to our customers.  Another copy is sent to HETAS who in turn notify your local Building Control that the installation has been completed by one of our competent persons.

We have 10 Million pounds Public Liability Insurance, exceeding the HETAS requirement.

Builder's opening increased or reduced

Often with fireplace and stove fittings, it is necessary to open up a builder's opening or reduce the fireplace open for the installation.

We undertake this work on the day of fitting or sometimes a few days prior to the installation to allow a chimney sweep to sweep the chimney before an installation.

We can include the disposal of the masonry as part of our quote, or bag it up for our customers to dispose of them self.
